Classroom Management: my personal reflections on feedback in learning.

Effective feedback and Quality Feedback in class: When it comes to feedback, this is an important aspect for my teaching practice. I brought home my 1st year sketchbooks for grading at mid-term, it took me almost the week to get through, inside I had 8 weeks of work to grade, I gave them a grade for every week, I gave written feedback on their artwork, I let the students know where they were at, what they needed to do to improve this, so in return it would bring them to the stage they should be at, I gave them positive feedback, with step by step guidance to bring them to through the improvement process to the stage they should be at, which in return should help improve their grade going forward. (Rafferty, 2022)



“Feedback is information with which a learner can confirm, add to, overwrite, tune, or restructure information in memory, whether that information is domain knowledge, meta-cognitive knowledge, beliefs about self and task, or cognitive tactics and strategies.” (Hattie & Timperley, 2007).
