Classroom management: managing difficult situations

Classroom management and the difficulties I have faced, reflecting on my own classroom experiences and the challenges I have faced. Our classroom rules regarding student’s property state: student’s property is the responsibility of the individual students. Do not interfere with other person work or materials. School property is the responsibility of all. A situation had arisen during one of my previous classes where a student had not been very respectful towards other students work or belongings. I had to speak to this individual student letting him know that this kind of behaviour was not acceptable and also it was breaking the classroom rules. This particular student in question then responded by apologising to the fellow student and handed him back his sketchbook and they continued with their task immediately without any further disruption.
